Stop teaching, start slicing!

weldslicer is about simplifying the programming of multilayer/multipass welds for welding robots. Instead of cumbersome teaching weldslicer creates the paths offline. From the ground up weldslicer is designed to consider part deviations, therefore scandata can be provided and the real part geometry becomes the base for the slicing of the weld. This is done by the means of a base CAD model containing the groove geometry and the geometry of the finished weld surface. The CAD model is also used to create the points and basic orientation vectors along the weld trajectory. The information gets completed with some data on weld position and possible sequence scheduling to minimize distortion. The creation of the base data is only needed once per weld. From a welding procedure specification min/max cross sections for the weld beads are determined.

weldslicer then plans the layout of the weld beads and paths automatically.

In conjunction with the freely downloadable weldslicer workbench for FreeCAD you will be able to create the input data for the weldslicer webinterface, provided in a restricted area here.
